Description:

Divergent is a technology company that has architected, invented, built, and commercialized an end-to-end factory system called the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) that comprehensively uses machine learning to optimally engineer, additively manufacture, and flexibly assemble complex integrated vehicle structures and subsystems. Products created using DAPS are superior in performance, lower in cost, rapidly customizable to meet mission and customer-specific requirements, faster to market, and scalable on demand to high volume production. Divergent is a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs, and Divergent is now expanding to support mission critical needs in the Aerospace and Defense sector. Join us to be a part of this transformative journey, where your impact will shape the future of technology and production.

Purpose

Divergent aims to revolutionize industrial manufacturing in multiple sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and defense through our DAPS (Divergent Adaptive Production System) technology. Our patented production system incorporates Nodes - 3D-printed metal connectors - with lightweight materials to create strong and efficient complex structures. Divergent's technology eliminates tooling and drives radical innovation, capital reduction, and sustainability in vehicle manufacturing.

Divergent is seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to support the next generation of industry-leading automotive vehicle development. We're committed to transforming vehicles' structural systems away from traditional manufacturing by using new materials and new technologies. To do this, we need a forward-looking and innovative engineer who will help shape the future of automotive structures.

DAPS Product Engineer will be responsible for the product development through entire product life cycle, from program kick-off to start of production. In this role, you will create and manage CAD models, FEA models and BOM's for individual Nodes as well as full structures. You will develop and maintain engineering documentation, including system level DFMEA and DVP and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing/design capabilities and limitations and to ensure proposed design changes can be efficiently produced and assembled. As DAPS Product Engineer, you will also act as technical liaison between Divergent and its customers, to ensure product requirements are concurred, tracked and achieved.
