Responsive Web Software Engineer

Experience:

• Strong experience of web development and responsive design using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, react.js and related client side technologies.
• Proficiency using front end build tools, such as Webpack, Gulp, Babel, Eslint, etc...
• Proficiency using and designing APIs and restful web services
• Solid experience and understanding of building applications for different platforms (web, mobile browsers, etc.) and their unique characteristics

Desired Skills:

• Extensive experience in designing, developing and debugging web front-ends integrated with Web Services/Content providers (AEM) and backend services (SOAP, REST and the likes)
• Strong experience in interfacing and working along with technical and design teams
• Advanced ability to convert complex requirements and abstract concepts into working designs and software applications
• Proficiency in integrating accessibility components (for screen readers, etc) in front end pages
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, subversion)
• Knowledge in the full software development lifecycle
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to evaluate alternatives and understand business and context implications and its impact
• Experience working in an agile development team
• Proficiency in building responsive/multi-platform solutions (rendered both on fixed line and mobile devices)
• Experience collaborating with customers/clients is a plus
• Good understanding of domain analysis and conceptual thinking
• Strong ability to self-manage time as well as fill-in gaps in requested tasks and communicating deviations

Not Essential but Preferable Skills:

• Experience of integrating markup within the AEM platform
• Familiar with data parsers (from different formats like JSON, XML, Protocol Buffers, etc.)
• Experience or knowledge of server side architecture or programming would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of other programming languages (Java, Objective-C, etc.)
• OO design and data modeling skills
