Overview
The Retirement Plan Services Advisor is responsible for identifying new employer prospects, fostering new relationships and closing retirement plan sales opportunities for Busey Wealth Management.
CrossFirst Bank will now operate as a separate subsidiary but will merge with Busey Bank, at the end of June. At that time, it will take on the Busey Bank brand.

Responsibilities
Actively drive new retirement plan sales opportunities by pursuing and closing on leads obtained through the building of community networks, internally and externally, and through the implementation of calls, visits and contacts
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Busey's unique retirement plan services, along with our providers' services, and be able to effectively communicate to prospects and referral sources
Service all new and ongoing relationships including employer clients and plan participants
Communicate regularly with referral sources and prospects to create, manage and develop a pipeline of employer plan prospects, while moving each through the sales cycle
Utilize a deep understanding of retirement plans to determine the right information needed to create a comparison of proposed to current retirement plan investments, fees and services. Includes strong analytical skills. Ensure proposed services maximize the clients' needs, goals, and objectives
Frequently create and present engaging presentations via virtual and onsite meetings to both prospects and referral sources.
Serve as main point of contact for employer contacts, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of retirement plans to provide suggestions of plan operations, compliance and best practices
Act as a liaison between employer clients and retirement plan service provider
Develop and implement education and communication plans for employees and participants, including providing investment advice as requested
Interpret and communicate retirement plan government regulations and document provisions.
Qualifications
Knowledge of:
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
Employer retirement plans, including government regulations, plan documents, investments and operations
Active listening skills; strong consultative and selling skills
Become an expert in product and service solutions
Ability to:
Multi-task and work independently
Work in an efficient manner with minimal errors; detail oriented
Perform duties and meet deadlines under frequent time pressures
Use strong analytical skills to create proposal, with an emphasis on comparing services, fees and investments
Partner with other associates in a collaborative and client-focused manner
Education and Training:
Requires Bachelor's degree.
5 or more years retirement plan service experience.
Retirement plan designations such as CPFA, CRPS or CRPC preferred.
Knowledge of qualified retirement plans and laws that regulate them.
On-going educational development and broadening of appropriate knowledge to enhance skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Busey will operate CrossFirst Bank as a separate banking subsidiary of Busey until it is merged with Busey Bank, which is expected to occur in June 2025
Compensation and Benefits
Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $110,000/Year
