We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Revenue Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This pivotal role will oversee the company's revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842, and the factoring of receivables tied to complex sales contracts.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including time in public accounting, and demonstrates a strong command of U.S. GAAP, especially revenue and lease-related standards. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a significant plus.

Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Revenue Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This pivotal role will oversee the company's revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842, and the factoring of receivables tied to complex sales contracts.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including time in public accounting, and demonstrates a strong command of U.S. GAAP, especially revenue and lease-related standards. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606, including contract analysis, identifying performance obligations, and determining revenue timing and amounts.
- Manage accounting and disclosures for leases under ASC 842, including operational and embedded leases.
- Oversee accounting for factored receivables, ensuring accurate derecognition and disclosure.
- Analyze complex customer contracts to assess and apply correct accounting treatment.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate revenue treatment from contract to execution.
- Assist in the month-end close process, including revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Support external audits, including preparation of documentation and responses to audit inquiries.
- Lead ongoing improvements in revenue and lease accounting processes, internal controls, and related systems.
- Contribute to ad hoc initiatives such as system implementations, policy updates, and automation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree a plus
- CPA license or actively pursuing certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Experience with factoring receivables and related financial statement impact
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex contracts and standards
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Anaplan) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Prior manufacturing industry experience is a plus
