This role is essential in bridging the gap between finance and commercial functions, driving the successful execution of our corporate strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing support for financial reporting and audits.
- Act as a key liaison between the finance and commercial departments, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration.
- Lead teams in the accurate and timely recording of air traffic liability, taxes, and revenues across various services, including scheduled flights, charter, freight, EAS, mail, and ancillary services.
- Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), corporate policies and procedures, interline agreements, the Revenue Accounting Manual, and prorate agreements/resolutions.
- Oversee the reconciliation of all commercial revenue and liability-related general ledger accounts, while maintaining comprehensive workpapers.
- Extract and analyze data from accounting and vendor systems for both monthly and ad hoc reporting.
- Ensure the effectiveness of revenue accounting processes by identifying deficiencies and implementing process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and corporate objectives.

Required:
- Working knowledge of airline revenue accounting processes.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proven ability to develop and execute plans, meet deadlines, and operate effectively under tight time constraints.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience with IATA, ACH, SIS, ARC, and airline PSS systems such as Sabre.
- Strong audit skills related to airline commercial and settlement processes.
- Professional experience in implementing, testing, and scoping systems.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFM, or CIA.
Other qualifications include:
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
- Must have strong interpersonal, communications, presentation and writing skills.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
- Must be willing to travel for work.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
