POSITION SUMMARY: The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for driving BVEP's revenue cycle teams to achieve organizational initiatives and maximize reimbursements, while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
REPORTS TO: VP of Revenue Cycle
Salary will be based on knowledge, sklls, ability, and experience.
Travel is required for this position.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with leadership teams and internal departments to evaluate and drive key tactical initiatives impacting the revenue cycle
- Collaborate with Operations and Physician leaders to positively impact the patient experience
- Collaborate with Accounting on revenue recognition
- Collaborate with IT and Operations to ensure data integrity
- Drive Revenue Cycle Performance:
- Build and Lead the Billing Team
- Achieve Target Performance Metrics
- Analyze Payor Contracts & Mix to Maximize Reimbursements
- Drive Software Utilization, Automation, and Innovation
- Ensure Adherence to Best Practices, Regulations, Billing Compliance & Policies
- Be Proficient in the key Software Systems impacting the Revenue Cycle
- Ensure the Timeliness of Claims Processing including correcting rejected/denied claims
- Monitor Accounts Receivable for both patient responsible and insurance receivable to ensure timely payment of amounts due
- Maintain established schedule for sending out Billing Statements
- Manage the Bad Debt Process
- Monitor the accurate and timely processing of Refunds
- Identify trends and variances in Revenue Cycle data to ensure the overall health of the company's receivables and processes. Prepare status reports and recommendations for areas of improvement
- Provide a monthly summary on key financial performance indicators
- Evaluate the Fee Schedule on at least an annual basis to ensure optimization
- Lead the Integration of New Practice Partners:
- Perform due diligence analysis on potential practice acquisitions
- Create the integration plan to transition new practices to standard Revenue Cycle processes
- Participate in other internal committees, special projects or activities that promote improvements in organizational performance and/or advance the mission, goals, and objectives of Bridgeview Eye Partners
- Perform any other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related degree preferred.
- Experience in revenue cycle management required.
- Previous Optometry/Ophthalmology experience a plus.
COMPETENCIES:
- Healthcare (professional) billing, broad knowledge of CPT and coding, claim submission requirements and other related industry terminology and practical use.
- Thorough understanding of the revenue cycle and how the various components work together.
