OUR POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated insurance & credentialing manager to join our dental support organization within the Revenue Cycle department. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of various insurance-related processes, including credentialing, auditing, clinical and medical billing, legal compliance, insurance and patient accounts receivable, claim processing, and appeals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas and be able to lead a team to achieve organizational objectives.

OUR POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated insurance & credentialing manager to join our dental support organization within the Revenue Cycle department. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of various insurance-related processes, including credentialing, auditing, clinical and medical billing, legal compliance, insurance and patient accounts receivable, claim processing, and appeals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas and be able to lead a team to achieve organizational objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management/Auditing:
- Directly reporting to the Chief Insurance Officer on all matters regarding responsibilities listed below
- Overseeing allocated responsibilities amongst team and leading by example, implementing best practices
- Conduct regular audits of clinical and billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings to improve processes and reduce errors.
Clinical and Medical Billing:
- Oversee the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims.
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding for services rendered.
- Oversee the processing of insurance claims from submission to payment.
- Handle claim denials and appeals, working to resolve issues and secure appropriate reimbursement
Credentialing:
- Manage the credentialing process for all providers to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for all credentialed providers.
Legal Compliance:
- Ensure all billing practices comply with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Insurance and Patient Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Manage insurance AR by monitoring outstanding claims and following up with insurance companies for resolution.
- Oversee patient AR to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience in insurance management within a healthcare or dental setting.
- Strong knowledge of credentialing, dental billing, and insurance AR processes.
- Experience in auditing clinical and billing practices for compliance and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build rapport with colleagues and train staff.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
