Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to manage the design, operation, and lifecycle maintenance of advanced countermeasures systems deployed primarily at overseas diplomatic facilities. This position involves ensuring the functionality and interoperability of sophisticated technical equipment, providing technical expertise throughout system lifecycles, and delivering training to Department of State personnel.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of RF signal technologies, engineering principles, and emerging trends in countermeasures and security systems.

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions

Responsibilities:
System Design & Maintenance:

- Design, configure, and maintain advanced countermeasure systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage hardware and software configurations to maintain interoperability and resolve technical issues.
- Draft pre-installation surveys, post-installation reports, and trip summaries.

- Provide expert technical support during all phases of system deployment: pre-installation, installation, and post-installation.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade system components as needed.

- Train Department of State personnel on the installation, maintenance, and operation of countermeasures systems.
- Draft and review technical policies, operational guidelines, and system documentation.

- Conduct independent research on emerging technologies and trends related to countermeasures and RF systems.
- Participate in laboratory or field testing to evaluate new technologies and systems.
- Develop recommendations for system improvements and new technology integration.

- Coordinate travel and site support for system installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with teams to support technical projects and participate in project design and review meetings.
Education & Clearance:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, or a related field.
- TOP SECRET security clearance eligible for SCI

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in RF signal detection, analysis, and characterization.
- Strong knowledge of RF technologies, modulation schemes, and signal decoding.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.
- Competency with MS Project, Visio, and the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Familiarity with IoT and the latest trends in security systems and RF technologies.
- Ability to interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics, as well as architectural and building systems drawings.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel 15-40%, including overseas (OCONUS) assignments to diplomatic facilities.
- Travel may include deployments to critical-threat locations with austere living conditions.
- Domestic (CONUS) travel may be required for training and coordination.
