TEAM OVERVIEW

The Investment Lifecycle Product team, part of KKR's Technology organization, develops technology solutions for clients and KKR teams with the objective to deliver exceptional experiences, enable firm growth, and mitigate firm risks. It collaborates closely with the Investment teams and other Technology teams, as well as Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, and Marketing.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Product Manager with deep expertise in risk management and data analytics to own and drive our Risk and Performance product strategy, roadmap, and development. This role will work cross-functionally to align product direction with both business goals and user needs, delivering impactful solutions for the Investment Teams and their business partners. The individual will drive the creation and enhancement of risk management and performance- platforms leveraging expertise in data analytics, risk measurement, and visualization to improve the firm's ability to quantify, monitor, and mitigate risk. As a domain expert, the ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to integrate risk assessment and mitigation seamlessly into business processes, delivering actionable insights and fostering innovation in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop a comprehensive product strategy, roadmap, and OKRs for risk management systems aligned with the firm's goals to drive measurable impact. Continuously refine the roadmap by engaging with stakeholders, adapting to evolving business needs, understanding business priorities and driving measurable risk mitigation results.
  • Product Leadership: Oversee a team of product managers responsible for tailored tools for Risk and Performance. Ensure the team's accountability for the full product lifecycle of their products-including strategy, execution, launch, and iterative improvements-while maintaining a consistent user experience and connectivity within the investment lifecycle.
  • Risk Analytics & Reporting: Build and enhance risk analytics capabilities within the firm by developing and implementing risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions that provide real-time insights into risk exposure and performance. Collaborate closely with Engineering team and external vendors to define and implement data feeds, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and standardized risk-related data is integrated into the firm's risk management systems. Additionally, drive the creation of dashboards and other visualization tools to provide actionable insights on risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and performance, supporting better decision-making across the organization.
  • Domain Expertise: Act as the go-to expert for Risk and Performance solutions within the organization, providing insights and innovative solutions that support risk identification, analysis, and mitigation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, gaining buy-in and ensuring alignment across the organization on product vision, priorities, and timelines. Partner with Investment Teams, Business Operations, Enterprise Risk, Legal, Engineering, and other teams to refine requirements, gather user feedback and deliver solutions that improve risk monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and overall risk management capabilities.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Lead buy vs. build assessments, select the right partners, and manage ongoing vendor relationships to ensure high-quality product solutions for the firm's risk management needs.
  • Platform-Mindset: Ensure product decisions are in line with the broader Investment Lifecycle Product and Technology vision, focusing on interoperability and scalability across teams and tools.
  • Technology and Company-Wide Contribution: Actively contribute to Technology and company-wide priorities, offering input beyond the immediate product role to support broader company objectives and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Strategic Product Ownership: 7+ years of product management, data analytics, business analyst, or software development experience, ideally with Risk Management expertise. Demonstrated ability to create and execute a product strategy and roadmap to support effective risk management and that align with strategic goals and customer needs, with a strong emphasis on cost-effective technology ownership and industry best practices.
  • Risk Analytics Expertise: Experience in performing risk analytics, developing risk metrics, and producing actionable risk reports. Familiarity with risk measurement techniques.
  • Customer-Centric Design: Strong understanding of risk managers and investment professionals roles and responsibilities and how to implement feedback loops to continuously improve the risk management and performance product experience based on real insights.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Deep analytical experience in evaluating product performance and making informed decisions that drive impact.
  • Excellence in Delivery: Track record of maintaining high standards of efficiency, quality, and "customer" satisfaction, establishing best practices across the Risk and Performance product domain.
  • Exceptional Communication & Influence: Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk management concepts for business and technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, align on product requirements, and engage senior stakeholders with clarity and strategic impact to implement risk management solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Risk Management concepts, including ability to collaborate with engineers to create data models, custom configurations, workflow automation, and integrations.


This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Base Salary Range

$150,000-$200,000 USD
