Summary:

Provide risk control/loss control assessments and recommendations to clients and members. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required based on individual account and/or program needs. Routine, extended overnight travel is required, including client contact/visits, conference attendance and air travel.

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Schedule and conduct member service assessment visits with recommendations.
  • Conduct presentations for member and/or program events.
  • Conduct risk control services and recommendations for the following:
    • Property and liability focused safety reviews
    • Follow-up, technical assistance, and coaching with members on areas of concern.
    • Coordinate inspections by other entities, as recommended
  • Consult with members on daily operational questions.
  • Compile and write reports based on assessments and recommendations, or at the request of other departments.
  • Conduct research into key tasks and projects.
  • Conduct annual and on-going loss analysis for assigned accounts to identify trends.
  • Collaborate with Program Administrators and departments company-wide,

to identify loss control trends
  • Develop, implement, and monitor loss improvement plans for designated members.
  • Maintain membership and participate in applicable state-wide organizations.
  • Attend meetings and conferences as needed
  • Coordinate member and regional-based trainings
  • Other job-related projects or assignments as assigned


Competencies:

  • Possess high school diploma.
  • Able to listen and effectively communicate with clients and teammates.
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Knowledge and computer skills required in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficient in Power BI, SQL preferred
  • Knowledge in the use of office equipment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work in teams.
  • Ability to present to small and large groups as required.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and possess a positive, amiable attitude.
  • Ability to organize and be a creative problem solver
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across all demographics
  • Regular attendance is essential and expected for the effective operation of the company and position


Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Former experience of analyzing risk with attention to detail

Required

  • Have valid Washington State Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance in force.
  • Be able to attain an associate degree in risk management (ARM) within three

years of hiring.
  • Work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans.
  • Adhere to company dress code and present oneself in a professional manner, including personal hygiene and appearance.


Preferred

  • BA in related field and/or experience in safety and/or insurance industry preferred, however not required.
  • Attain a Property and Casualty license within 12 months of hire.
  • Experience working with or in municipalities. Law enforcement, firefighting or EMS experience is a plus.


Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:

Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.

Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.

Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.

Ability to sit at a desk on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.

Ability to climb stairs on a regular basis, as well climb a ladder as needed.

Annual Salary Range: $78,000 - $88,000

Pay Range
78,000.00 - 88,000.00 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
