Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Care Management
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10 hours, AM - 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 4 days per week, no major holidays, every 6th weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 3 years; extensive background and knowledge of current medical-surgical patterns of practice and acute inpatient care. Preferred: 5+ years of experience with Utilization Management and Care Management.
License: BSN required
Certifications: Preferred certifications include CCM or related certifications
Must-Have:
- Experience with EPIC
- Knowledge of benefits, plan contracts, eligibility issues, and requirements
Job Description:
- Utilize a collaborative process to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate options and services required to meet patients' health needs.
- Use good communication and available resources to promote quality, cost-effective outcomes for 18-22 patients.
- Manage length of stay and promote efficient utilization of resources.
- Determine medical necessity and appropriateness of admission using InterQual screening and an inpatient list from Medicare.
- No major holidays are required to work, with a requirement of every 6th weekend duty.
This role focuses on ensuring quality care management and effective utilization of resources in a patient-centered environment.
