Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum 2+ years, including experience in hemo/onc/infusion, triage, and phlebotomy
License: Registered Nurse (RN)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Chemo certification
Must-Have: Experience with port access, IV starts, and lab draws

Job Description:
- Work in a busy hemo/oncology clinic with an infusion suite featuring 35 bays and beds, with an average patient ratio of 1:6.
- Administer ordered injections, pump disconnects, and vaccines.
- Triage telephone calls from patients, families, and the community or referring offices.
- Conduct follow-up calls to patients as instructed by the provider, handle prescription refills, refer to home care, and collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff in the clinic.
- Review and triage lab/x-ray results received in the office and notify the medical practitioner of critical values.
- Make follow-up calls to high-risk patients, assessing changes in status or ensuring that patients seek appropriate treatment.
- Document information provided to patients during triage in any applicable electronic health record systems.
- Communicate to respective physicians any additional documentation/notes from triage events that the physician may need for follow-up patient care.
- Perform patient vitals, medication reconciliation, and health history documentation in electronic medical records for provider review.
- Conduct pre-visit reviews of patient information to ensure required information, such as patient charts, lab results, and consults, are available in the electronic medical record for providers during visits.
- Evaluate patients' progress toward the attainment of clinical and educational outcomes.
- Perform in-office procedures such as EKGs, PFTs, assist with bone marrows, and surgical procedures as ordered by the provider.
- Conduct nurse-only visits for patients that do not require a physician or NP, such as BP checks, immunizations, injections, and education.

This position has no weekend or major holiday requirements.
