Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Interventional Radiology
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 4x10 hour shifts; 7:30 AM - 6 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40.00
Experience: Interventional Radiology experience; experience in moderate sedation and strong IV start skills
License: RN License (NC or Multi-State)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Radiology RN responsible for pre, intra, and post-procedure care of Interventional Radiology patients
Job Description:
- Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
- Analyze the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
- Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.
- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
- Seek knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking.
- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
- Contribute to quality nursing practice.

Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English fluently and possess intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, as well as finger dexterity and the ability to concentrate and respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions.
Schedule: Includes 1 night of a weekday call every 2 weeks and 1 weekend call every 8 weeks.
