Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience

License: Active state RN license

Certifications:
- BLS (must be American Heart Association)
- ACLS
- PALS

Must-Have:
- Experience with EPIC charting

Job Description:

- Provide comprehensive pre and post-operative care.
- Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care utilizing nursing processes and primary nursing principles.
- Adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Utilize equipment such as Meditech and Pyxis Medication systems.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 in a unit with 7 bays.
- Wear provided scrubs according to the dress code.
- Complete unit-specific training and orientation, including a medication test within the first two weeks.
