Responsibilities
The RN Nursing Services Director is an integral part of the InnovAge Adult Day Health Center leadership team directing all clinic functions, overseeing all clinic staff, and ensuring appropriate staffing along with high-quality standards of care. Direct responsibility for the hiring, evaluation, supervision, and termination of the clinic staff including RN, LPN/LVN, Medication Reconciliation Nurse, Medical Assistant, and Clinic Clerk. The position is on-site at the center Monday through Friday from 8a to 5pm and participates daily in the morning team meetings.
Clinic Management and Administration - 60%

Travel - 20% between InnovAge centers and team meetings that may require overnight travel out of state.

Posted Salary Range
USD $116,000.00 - USD $127,000.00 /Yr.

Clinic Management and Administration - 60%
- Functions as nursing leader within the Adult Day Center's, collaborating with the center's leadership - Center Operations Director and the Center Medical Director to achieve center and organizational goals.
- Evaluates the overall effectiveness of the clinic, implementing change and quality improvement as needed.
- Oversees and coordinates vaccinations of participants.
- Manages the flow of clinic; oversees appointment bookings, triaging, and gatekeeping in conjunction with primary care and staff. Ensures timely and appropriate care of participants.
- Oversees staff, verifies that exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and materials, cleanliness, and completion of daily clinic logs.
- Monitors expenditures with a commitment to good stewardship of the organization's resources.
- Communicates with weekend and after-hour staff and follows up as appropriate.
- Develops relationships with all other departments to facilitate seamless healthcare for the participants.
- Sets clear expectations and assigns appropriate authority to staff; holds self and staff accountable for their scope of work and compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.
Supervision and Training - 20%
- Provides leadership, mentoring, and management to clinical staff and support staff while using tools to measure productivity & progress on metrics.
- Effectively supervises and manages direct reports and provides, by example and leadership, motivation and direction to employees of the organization.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective disciplinary procedures and practices (under the direction of supervisor and in partnership with Human Resources), addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Coordinates new staff onboarding process and conducts ongoing staff and provider training for EMR, practice management, and other clinical applications and clinical services to ensure quality and compliance of the programs.
- Ensures annual employee performance reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner. Evaluates performance of employees for compliance with established policies and objectives of the organization and contributions in attaining objectives.
- Helps set the tone of the department to ensure morale, teamwork, and that the positive employment culture of the organization is maintained.
- Regularly schedules leadership/management, department, and staff 1:1 meetings to provide leadership, development, and a forum for communication to ensure coordination and collaboration in meeting organization and individual goals.
Participant Care - 20%
- Responds to and performs triage of incoming telephone calls.
- Assists in the treatment, examination, and testing of participants.
- Develops, implements, and maintains a current nursing care plan.
- Performs general nursing care to participants. Performs or supervises the administration of prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Educates participants, family, and caregivers in regards to care, medications, and treatments.
- Coordinates participant care with outside contracted service providers which includes nursing homes, assisted living, laboratories, oxygen, etc.
- Oversees scheduling participants for specialist appointments and assists in hospital admissions and calling reports to the unit.
- Observes, records, and reports participants' condition and reaction to drugs and treatments given by physicians.
- Implements written orders given by the primary care physician.
- Manages and reviews participant's records, charts, pertinent information, and staff's documentation, updates documentation as needed.
- Completes the nursing assessment form on visitors and participants at standard intervals.
- Complies with all regulatory and policy and procedure guidelines
Travel - 20% between InnovAge centers and team meetings that may require overnight travel out of state.

REQUIRED
- Current state issued Registered Nurse License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or the ability to obtain BLS
- 10+ yrs health care experience
- 3+ yrs supervising staff
- Skilled in using EMR systems and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
PREFERRED
- Bachelor's or Master's in nursing, healthcare or related field.
- Bi-lingual
