Job Description:
- Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan.
- Include the patient and family in planning and implementing care while maintaining a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
- Anticipate and recognize significant changes in the patient's condition, status, and need for care; provide ongoing assessment and take appropriate actions when changes occur.
- Anticipate and alter the care plan as needed, mobilize appropriate resources, and collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient-centered care.
- Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase safety; assess patient and family readiness to learn and personalize the approach as necessary.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from the floor to waist level, 20 lbs. overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
- Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with assistance.
- Position involves the use of foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Potential exposure to chemicals, hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases, requiring protective clothing and equipment.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and the ability to perform fine hand manipulations for procedures such as IV insertion.
- Operate all necessary equipment to perform job duties effectively.
