Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Home Care
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days; weekdays with weekend/call/holiday rotation
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Home Health experience, including OASIS documentation, EMR proficiency, IV and wound care, phlebotomy, catheter care
License: Current IL RN license
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart
Must-Have: Active car insurance and a dependable vehicle; understanding of a Drug-Free Campus policy
Job Description:
- Provide direct patient care to individuals in their homes, including vital signs monitoring and physical assessments, applying OASIS standards.
- Administer IV therapy and wound care, perform lab draws, and educate patients on disease management.
- Manage patient cases independently with support available from supervisors when needed.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and equipment like Protime machines.
- Responsible for completing 5-6 home visits daily, with no floating to other units/departments.
- Dress code requires wearing scrubs, maintaining a professional appearance, covering tattoos, no visible facial piercings, and ensuring conservative dress.
- Participate in a specific training and orientation program, including EMR training and company-specific policy orientation for wounds and IV care, lasting up to two weeks with a preceptor.
- The department boasts a high staff satisfaction score, and the leadership team is supportive and effective in communication and issues resolution.
