Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: San Francisco, California

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns. The ideal candidate will be experienced in high-risk deliveries, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
  • Monitoring: Continuously assess maternal and fetal status using advanced monitoring equipment and respond appropriately to changes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to manage patient care.
  • Patient Support: Educate and support patients and families, providing guidance throughout the birthing process.
  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly in obstetric emergencies, ensuring appropriate interventions and neonatal resuscitation when necessary.

  • Job Requirements:
    • Experience:
      • 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Labor & Delivery.
    • Education:
      • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    • Licenses & Certifications:
      • Registered Nurse License (valid in California).
      • Basic Life Support (BLS).
      • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
    • 5+ years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in Labor & Delivery.
    • 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last 2 years.
    • High-Risk Obstetrics (OB) experience.
