Description:
Provide care for patients utilizing fetal and maternal monitoring equipment. Manage the patient's pain including epidural and patient controlled analgesia administration. Assist physician during delivery, treatment, examination and surgical procedures. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Provide patient and family education on labor, pain and newborn care.
Director of Labor and Delivery , Austin, TX Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or other approved education plan required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Master's Degree preferred Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS ACLS preferred NRP preferred FHM preferred RNC-OB preferred Min 5+ years of L & D experience in healthcare required in an acute care setting 3+ year of recent Director L&D experience in a leadership role required in an acute care setting Having HCA experience is a plus
