Overview
The RN Navigator reviews patient care to ensure effective collaboration with Radiologists, Physicians, and Medical Consultants. Working under minimal supervision, this role serves as a resource and correspondence hub for clinical and administrative communication, applying knowledge to develop, review, and prepare essential operational and clinical protocols. This role seeks guidance from senior management on complex cases.

Responsibilities
Reviews patient cases, medical histories, and current treatment plans to effectively navigate patients through their healthcare journey.
Develops care plans, in coordination with various healthcare providers and departments to ensure a streamlined and supportive experience for patients.
Prepares and maintains records of patient interactions, care plan developments, and navigational interventions to ensure consistent and coordinated care.
Applies knowledge of healthcare systems, resources, and patient needs to guide patients through their medical journey, ensuring access to necessary services and support.
Examines navigational strategies and interventions, to ensure they are patient-centric.
Corresponds consistently with healthcare teams and patients, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care, while also serving as a key resource for the company in enhancing patient navigation services, and occasionally seeks guidance from senior management for complex navigational challenges.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
