Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening 12 5x8 Hr
Guaranteed Hours: 40.00
Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as appropriate for unit or service
Must-Have:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited School of Nursing
Job Description:
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
- Provide health teaching and health counseling
- Deliver therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others
- Execute delegated medical functions
- Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Utilize resources as needed
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health organization, and abide by service behavior standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need
- Be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift if required
