Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology
Job Specialty: Vascular Lab - Interventional Radiology
Job Duration: 17 weeks
Shift: 8-hour Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (No call, No weekends)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology/Vascular Lab with at least 1 travel contract or 4 years without travel experience
License: Not required to submit
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Must-Have:
- Comfortable with pre, intra, and post-care
- Preferably cardiac, ICU, or ER experience
- Comfortable handling cardiac arrests
- Minimum 2 years of experience
Job Description:
- Nurses are responsible for prepping patients, monitoring and providing sedation during procedures, and recovering patients post-procedure.
- Collaboration with surgical techs for pulling supplies, running charges, and room preparation.
- Familiarity with procedures such as Lifeports, PICC lines, sonograms, fistulograms, catheters, declots, grafts, fistulas, balloons, stents, and vein mapping.
- Work in a dynamic environment with 3 procedure rooms and pre/post recovery areas.
- On average, handle 8-12 cases per day with 90% being outpatient.
- Utilize EMR and equipment, specifically MEDITECH charting system and Phillips portable for bedside.
- Participate in a maximum of 3 weeks of floor-specific orientation.
- Scrub colors provided: green or white.
- Work alongside RT and pharmacy professionals available 24/7 during regular hours.
This role requires a high level of expertise in acute care settings and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
