Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia is hiring RNs (Registered Nurses) to join our Resource Pool Team!

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty.

SHIFTS
  • Night Shift
  • Currently seeking candidates to float to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED)
  • Flexi Status: The team member must enter at least 24 hours prescheduled time per calendar month. Of these prescheduled hours, 8 hours are scheduled on a weekend shift and 8 hours on an off shift per month.
  • Holiday requirement: required to work (1) one premium pay summer or winter day and (2) two special event days.


Experience
  • 18 months of recent bedside RN experience


License and Certification
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)


Education
  • RN-Associate's Degree
  • RN-Bachelor's Degree
  • RN-Diploma
  • RN-Master's Degree

The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$32.13 - $53.55Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
