Description

The Corradino Group seeks a highly motivated self-starter to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee as the Roadway Design Engineer. Under direction of the division manager, the candidate will be responsible for coordination and oversight of geometric design projects including, but not limited to DOT, municipalities, and private clients.

Responsibilities
  • Handles project management tasks such as schedules, budgets, invoicing and progress reports.
  • Develops project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staff assignments.
  • Coordinates with subconsultants.
  • Leads day-to-day project activities.
  • Prepares technical reports, specifications, construction drawings, and environmental studies.
  • Prepares design plans, including preliminary, ROW and construction, utilizing design software.
  • Evaluates alternative designs.
  • Serves as technical liaison with clients.
  • Attends project meetings.
  • Adheres to company standards for quality assurance and quality control.
  • Mentors junior staff.


Position Requirements

Education: BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program

Registration: Tennessee PE required; Indiana PE or Florida PE a plus

Years of Experience: 3-10 years
  • Must be experienced in TDOT design methods and plan preparation.
  • Knowledgeable in DOT standards; specifications; design methods and plan preparation
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver's license
  • Required Skills: Microstation; Geopak; OpenRoads Designer a plus; Microsoft Office
