CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Roll Form & Maintenance Foreman for our ceilings plant, based in Oakville, Ontario.

It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a key member of the plant leadership team, the Roll Form & Maintenance Foreman shares responsibility for employee engagement, safety, quality, and efficiency within the plant.

Reporting to the Roll Form Production & Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of both the Roll Form and Maintenance Departments. This includes responsibility for organizing and leading the manufacturing of grid ceiling suspension products that meet or exceed customer expectations in the marketplace.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Providing leadership to the RPM program to ensure compliance, growth, and tangible outputs of increased line efficiencies.
  • Ensuring on-going training and development opportunities for operators and maintenance personnel in the department. Providing consistent feedback and coaching to employees to help them develop their skills and abilities.
  • Leading a team working in a manufacturing environment in the safest, most efficient, and profitable manner as possible.
  • Recommending and administering personnel activities such as wage actions, promotions, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
  • Assisting in the implementation and training of CGC/USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWI's Standard Operating Procedures, and LEAN activities as required.
  • Exercising personal safety, promoting and enforcing safety among crew members.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education is not required but preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability when working in and leading a team.
  • Proven ability to incorporate and emphasize both safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment
  • Understanding of Lean & Lean Six Sigma process and tools.
  • Good mathematical and statistical analysis skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with solid project and time management along with a proven track record of seeing projects through to completion.
  • Strong business orientation with competency in financial analysis and IT programs including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Salary Range- $69,120 to $92,160 per annum.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
