Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Rotating Equipment Manager on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex. This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

We operate a world-class refinery that utilizes cutting-edge technology to process 130,000 barrels of petroleum products per day and an annual fuel production capacity of 6.8 billion liters. As one of Canada's largest refineries we employ over 1,000 people.

Our Reliability Team is a cornerstone of excellence, ensuring that our operations are not just efficient but also safe and sustainable. We are currently looking for someone to act as our Subject Matter Expert to support and manage a technical team that specializes in rotating equipment asset performance, ensuring our refinery operates at its best, day in and day out. What you'll do:

  • Manage a team of technical resources and provide SME (subject matter expert) support on rotating equipment related issues that are typically of a high complexity that impact asset operation, have large financial impacts, and require performance analysis and input for technical or design issues.
  • Development and implementation of Asset Care Strategies (ACS) for rotating equipment using a Reliability Centered Maintenance approach and FMECA (failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis) methodology.
  • Optimize Asset Care Strategies through continuous improvement using various practices such as preventive maintenance optimization (PMO), root cause analysis, (RCA), or new technology.
  • Establish, implement, and manage asset management programs related to rotating equipment, spanning across the CRC such as:
    • Vibration and other Rotating Equipment Condition Monitoring Programs
    • Asset Care Strategies
    • Lubrication management and monitoring programs
    • Identification and support for improvement opportunities and projects.
  • Review of rotating equipment performance data for trends and performance improvements.
  • Continue to expand working relationships with operations and maintenance to drive a deeper understanding of asset operating context and performance and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring and support to technical staff throughout the organization, participate in solving complex facility operating problems when support is requested.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Engineering & Engineering Technology and:

  • You have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering.
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in the energy industry (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • You are Professional Engineer in good standing with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
