Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shift: Days 5x8 - 6:45am - 3:00pm
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred
License: NYS RN License
Certifications: BCLS required; Wound and Ostomy Certification preferred
Must-Have: Wound Care Certification
Job Description:
- Establish satisfactory interpersonal relationships with co-workers, colleagues, patients, families, and significant others.
- Initiate communication with patients and families to determine individual needs.
- Communicate with co-workers and colleagues in other disciplines and departments to share and exchange ideas and information about related activities and needs.
- Provide detailed patient education during inpatient stay and at discharge, following prescribed teaching plans.
- Respond effectively, both verbally and non-verbally, to communications from patients, families, colleagues, department heads, supervisors, and physicians.
- Make decisions and actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the values of self and others.
- Involve patient and family in the plan of care, incorporating their cultural, spiritual, and other belief systems.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in written form.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Handle physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, and bending, with reasonable accommodations provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions without compromising patient care.
- Meet requirements of a Registered Nurse.
- Prioritize and problem-solve effectively.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
