JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for making and servicing all types of business and individual loans and lines of credit. Develops strategic plans to establish business operating and depository accounts with the Bank. Engages with existing customers to retain business and promote additional Bank services. Provides financial counsel to current and prospective customers. Represents the Bank at civic and community functions to enhance its image and develop additional business. Builds a significant referral network to support deposit and loan relationships with CBC.

DUTIES:
  • Solicit new relationships through various channels for deposit and loan opportunities.
  • Recognize and act on customer prospects; cross-sell opportunities with existing customers.
  • Review appraisal, environmental, and title reports to determine reliability and support for credit requests.
  • Actively participate in the Bank's Business Development Program.
  • Enhance the Bank's image and recognition in the business and professional community.
  • Collaborate with staff in structuring, analyzing, and approving commercial business loans.
  • Promote a team atmosphere and coordinate with other personnel in managing shared account relationships.
  • Manage production goals and control income and expenses.
  • Make decisions on administrative and operational matters related to deposits and lending.
  • Complete weekly updates of the Pipeline Report to ensure accurate tracking and status of lending deals; monitor loan portfolio and ticklers.
  • Track monthly borrowing base certificates; monitor revolving lines of credit for valid maturity dates; renew or extend lines as needed.
  • Troubleshoot loan account issues with Operations, Wire, New Accounts, and Note Departments.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university;
  • Or 5-10 years of community banking experience (highly preferred);
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of:
  • All areas of business lending and inventory financing
  • Credit structure - all forms
  • Business development
  • Commercial deposits

Abilities:
  • Strong sales and marketing skills to sell Bank services.
  • Ability to manage priorities to ensure effective accomplishment of objectives.
  • Capacity to handle a high volume of workflow from various sources.
