Job Summary -
To maintain a positive public image for Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek while managing the day-to-day operations of the Catering Department. Aggressively sell catering services, and contribute to the catering revenue goals by driving the team to exceed catering budgets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - (Key Activities)
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position
Manage catering team to ensure individual and team goals are accomplished
Solicit and strategically grow business from identified catering market segments
Strategically develop new markets and develop new revenue streams
Identify client's requirements and clearly communicate within the hotel and to the appropriate hotel staff, serving as a liaison between the client and hotel associates
Provide accurate and detailed forecasting
Participate in the weekly Yield/Revenue meeting
Create and execute strategic plans and actions for catering market segments
Assist in marketing plan strategies and budgets
Achieve budgeted production goals for each identified market segment
Maintain awareness of market conditions and competitive set, and its impact on the hotel. Anticipate business needs with flexible planning.
Respond to client/guest requests in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
Maintain solid working relationships with the chef and culinary team, banquet manager and banquet team, and all support staff to ensure support and cooperation in servicing each catered function
Ensure all event leads are sourced to the appropriate catering manager on a timely basis
Establish a system for maximizing function space revenues
Work closely with the Assistant Director of Sales on space release policies
Maintain Delphi/Sales Force systems
Work closely with credit manager to ensure credit policies are adhered to and properly followed
Conduct site inspections and tours as needed
Participate in identified business and community networking events
Produce accurate and timely quarterly booking recap reports
Experience -
Minimum of 4 years hotel catering/sales and/or food and beverage experience - luxury brand preferred
General Skills -
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
Follow directions thoroughly

Food and Beverage knowledge and menu creation
Education or Certification -
College degree required
Certified Meeting Planner and/or Social Event Management designation preferred
Language -
Required to speak, read, and write English
Physical Requirements
Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
