Description:

Responsibilities
  • Safety Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive safety program for construction sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • On-Site Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, identifying potential hazards, unsafe practices, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure construction projects comply with all applicable OSHA safety standards, local regulations, and safety laws. Stay current on changes in regulations and industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis: Identify and assess safety risks on construction sites, develop hazard mitigation plans, and communicate those plans to workers and management.
  • Safety Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for construction workers, supervisors, and site managers on topics such as fall protection, equipment operation, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.
  • Accident and Incident Investigation: Investigate all accidents, near misses, and safety incidents on construction sites, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites, including evacuation procedures, first aid, and coordination with emergency services.
  • Safety Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and safety compliance documentation for reporting to regulatory agencies.
  • Safety Meetings and Communication: Conduct regular safety meetings with project teams, subcontractors, and employees to promote safety awareness and discuss ongoing safety concerns.
  • Collaboration with Project Management: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safety protocols are integrated into project planning and day-to-day operations.
  • Promote Safety Culture: Foster a proactive safety culture on construction sites by encouraging workers to report unsafe conditions, participate in safety programs, and prioritize their own safety and that of their coworkers.
Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Safety Manager experience
  • Experience managing safety on projects over $10M in size
  • OSHA 30 certification

Compensation:

  • $110-130K base salary depending on experience
