Job description

Safran Electrical & Power is a world leader in Aerospace electrical systems (electric power generation systems, distribution systems, conversion systems, electric propulsion systems). Our mission is to lead the electrical evolution of the aviation industry through aircraft equipment electrification and electric and hybrid-electric propulsion. The proposed role is associated with our Sarasota, Florida business unit, which has developed an unmatched expertise in electrical power distribution systems and components (contactors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, etc.).
This role will be responsible to plan, implement, manage and supervise sales and marketing plans, to achieve both short and long term financial and strategic business objectives, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinates.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a sales force, build marketing and sales plan and have experience in the component sales network through distributors and regional leaders.

Marketing activities
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services, through direct sales, distributors and Regional Leads.
Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share, and to ensure profitable growth and expansion of products and services.
Contribute to the product research and technology roadmap activities by capturing the Voice of Customers in terms of future needs.
Maintain general market awareness and monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events necessary to develop markets, gain customer base, and achieve business objectives.
Customer Relationship Development and Maintenance
Coordinate responses to request for quotations and negotiate both commercial and contractual conditions.
Ensure that the booking plan is in line with the sales plan and provide accurate and timely demand forecast.
Ensure the adequacy with key performance indicators (sales, booking, aging accounts, ratio of win/loss, account receivables).
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and key strategic partners.
Generate new sales opportunities.
Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
Manage and support the distribution partners.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree from a Business or Engineering school, or equivalent degree recognized through Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful 5-year experience in managing components sales directly or through a distribution network (preferably in the Aerospace sector)
Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques, contractual negotiations and financial principles.
Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, influencing and communication skills
Must be able to work well within a team or independently and demonstrate initiative to drive results
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver superior performance within timelines
Enthusiastic, proactive with a drive for results
Strong integrity and sense of responsibility
Ability to learn new products and platform and to thrive in a team environment
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in office IT suite (excel, word and PowerPoint).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Fluency (written & oral) in English is required, French/Spanish languages would be a plus.
Knowledge of SAP environment would be a plus.
