JOB TITLE: Sales & Marketing Strategist

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales, the Sales & Marketing Strategist plays a critical role in driving the success of our partners and enhancing the effectiveness of American Leather's sales, marketing and merchandising efforts. This role is centered on providing operational support to the sales team, spearheading market-driven projects, assisting with new product development, and managing key accounts. Success in this dual role requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills to optimize sales processes, evaluate performance metrics, manage key accounts, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide operational support to the sales team, including sales data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
As needed, assist in preparing sales forecasts, budgets, and other financial reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Manage strategic retailer accounts and serve as the primary liaison between retailers and the American Leather team.
Ensure critical documentation, agreements, and pre-sales paperwork are satisfied prior to supplying key strategic accounts.
Support projects related to Market and assist in developing new products as the Merchandising liaison.
Provide administrative support in merchandising-related projects, including data gathering, tracking, and distribution.
Partner with retailers on product development requests and proposals, driving projects from inception to completion.
Lead vendor conference calls and meetings to ensure cooperation and timely execution of production aspects.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of sales activities with marketing campaigns and product launches.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Minimum of 5 years experience in customer-facing roles or positions with transferrable skills.
Genuine passion for sales and merchandising in the high-end furniture, fashion, and interior design industries.
1-2 years of account management experience is a plus.
Experience with Oracle is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
EFFORT:
Operation of computer, keyboard, and phone.
Daily standing, walking, and stooping throughout the facility.
Domestic travel is required throughout the year.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
