Sales Consultant with Warehouse Automation experience

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Sales Consultant with exceptional analytical and solution design capabilities to join our growing team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis and intralogistics to develop tailored automation solutions that meet our clients' unique needs while driving business growth for Prime Robotics.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis

• Perform comprehensive data analysis on customer and/or partner-provided supply chain data

• Identify patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization

• Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive solution development

• Model ROI scenarios based on customer operational data

• Create data-driven recommendations that demonstrate tangible business value

Solution Design and Evaluation

• Produce and evaluate multiple automation concepts for each client scenario

• Select solutions that create win-win outcomes for customers and Prime Robotics

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility of proposed solutions

• Balance customer requirements with operational constraints to develop optimal solutions

• Iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback

Proposal Development & Client Communication

• Become our customer's trusted advisor through consultative selling approaches

• Prepare customer-facing solution artifacts including presentations, specifications, and commercial proposals

• Present complex technical solutions in clear, compelling ways to various stakeholders

• Manage communication throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from initial contact to close

• Articulate the value proposition of proposed solutions in business terms

Industry Knowledge

• Maintain deep understanding of intralogistics automation products and capabilities

• Stay current on warehouse operations best practices and emerging technologies

• Apply industry benchmarks to evaluate and position solution offerings

• Provide thought leadership in discussions about warehouse automation trends

• Leverage industry knowledge to anticipate customer needs and concerns

Solution Specification

• Create detailed technical specifications that translate requirements into solutions

• Develop commercial documents that clearly outline solution scope, pricing, and implementation details

• Ensure alignment between customer expectations and solution capabilities

• Work with technical teams to validate specifications for accuracy and feasibility

• Document solution architectures that address current needs while allowing for future expansion

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks during concept development

• Conduct thorough solution validation to reduce implementation risks

• Assess potential integration challenges with existing systems and processes

• Develop contingency plans for high-risk aspects of proposed solutions

• Ensure all proposals account for identified risks in scope and pricing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related field

• 10 years of professional experience as an Engineer or similar relevant role

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse automation, supply chain solutions, or related field
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and material handling equipment
• Experience in consultative or solution selling

• Proven track record in data analysis and solution design

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

• Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences

• Proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques

• Ability to travel up to 30% for client meetings and site visits
• Master's degree in relevant field preferred

• Experience with complex robotic automation systems preferred
• Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, etc.) preferred
