Job Summary:

ENTEK is seeking self-driven, organized and technically competent candidates for a Sales Engineer specializing in Material Handling, who will be responsible for sales of material handling equipment that is designed, fabricated, installed, commissioned, and serviced by ENTEK. This role will operate in the Southeastern Region of the US.

To ensure high quality service to existing customers as well as to leverage regional relationships and networks, it would be ideal if the person hired for this role was based in the State of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, or Alabama.

The individual in this role will be responsible for understanding the technical and commercial needs of customers and communicating such information to ENTEK after vetting the validity of the opportunity. Central to this role is new revenue growth through developing relationships with new material handling customers and expanding relationships with existing customers. The person in this role must have a true understanding of customer support and must be able to immediately respond to customer inquiries, gather and research information, assemble and share information, and verify that the customer understands information and is satisfied.

The individual hired will be successful in this role through their expertise in relationship building and lead generation, provision of honest and transparent representation to customers, and demonstrating ENTEK core values - Respect, Integrity, Commitment, & Innovation and embodies that "Our business begins and ends with our customer".

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, contact, and cultivate new customers in material handling (pneumatic conveying) equipment and systems including:
    • Utilizes technical knowledge and expertise of services and the cost-effective solutions to sell and propose products, systems, and services.
    • Call on customer management representatives to persuade them of the desirability and practicality of products and services offered by ENTEK.
    • Work closely with customers and production engineers to determine how products and services could be designed or modified to best suit the customers' needs.
    • Demonstrates to potential customers how and why ENTEK products and services would suit customer needs better than competitors.
    • Explain features and merits of products or services offered utilizing persuasive sales techniques.
  • Work with existing customers to penetrate all areas where ENTEK offers products and services and look to grow additional sales.
  • Coordinate company technical engineering support to ascertain customers' needs.
  • Make technical recommendations to customer representatives regarding maintenance best practices for the ENTEK equipment.
  • Follow pre-established guidelines for sales, developing quotes, processing orders, and closing transactions.
  • Provide clear, concise and accurate communication between customer, internal support personnel and management of ENTEK.
  • Give presentations, attend networking events, and trade shows.
  • Communicate appropriately when issues and opportunities arise in the field.
  • Identifies industry trends, patterns, and threats and effectively communicates to management.
  • Work with customer service manager, sales, engineering, etc. groups to resolve conflicts and/or escalated problems.
  • Provide weekly updates to team managed sales funnel.
  • Participates in, and when appropriate leads, process improvement projects.

Working Conditions and Environment:

This position requires extensive travel in order to attend trade shows and conferences, and as part of the process to maintain relationships with existing customers as well as to develop relationships with and develop material handling solutions for new customers.

The person hired for this job must be able to remain poised in stressful situations.

Experience and Skills
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Three (3) years of material handling (pneumatic conveying) or similar experience.
  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra).
  • Basic AutoCAD skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, think critically and maintain focus.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, plus knowledge and use of technology-driven tools
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to take initiative to seek resolution.
  • Strong problem analysis and solutioning skills.
  • Excellent customer service and relation skills.
  • Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft AX or similar software.
  • Five (5) years of manufacturing experience in the plastics, minerals, food, or other manufacturing industry.


Job Benefits
Base Pay Range: $70,000-$90,000 plus $25,000 first year draw guaranteed
