Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic sales engineer to lead and manage sales efforts, maintain existing business relationships, and identify new opportunities for growth. This role will be instrumental in developing strategic sales initiatives, evaluating bid/no bid decisions, and working closely with the business unit manager and VP of sales to drive revenue growth. This role has a base salary between $110-135k plus commission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow our presence in the aerospace and defense markets.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers while actively seeking new business opportunities.
  • Evaluate bid opportunities and participate in bid/no bid decisions in collaboration with the business unit manager and VP of sales.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals and solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive positioning, and business development opportunities.
  • Travel 30% to 50% throughout North America and Europe to engage with customers and partners.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales or business development experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace/defense manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and close deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (30%-50%) within North America and Europe.
  • Experience working with government contracts and defense procurement.
  • Knowledge of aerospace motion control systems, electrical components, or similar technologies.
  • Technical sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
