Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area, Control Associates, Inc. is a premier provider of process automation systems, valves, measurement, pressure management, asset reliability and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a Sales Engineer for our Final Control group to work out of our headquarters in Allendale, NJ. (I tell people it could be a hybrid after 6 months, but I don't post that)

Established in 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson Automation Solutions, specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Biotech, Chemical, Food & Beverage, HVAC, Hydrocarbon Processing, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, Oil Refining, Pharmaceuticals, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, and Water & Wastewater Treatment

Role:

Our Sales Engineer will work within a team environment alongside designated Account Managers and Sales Associates to directly support offerings within our expanding process instrumentation, instrument services and our expanding solutions businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Direct internal management of the customer account relationship for the sale of control valves, regulators, valves automation products, instrument & valves services, and process automation solutions to our final control customers.
  • Review customer's specifications, technical requirements and commercial terms and conditions, completion of the application engineering required to select control valve, regulator, or valve automation product or service offering and generation of quotations.
  • Assist customers with the development of bid specification documents/quotes
  • Review customer purchase orders, as required, for compliance to quotations and communication/resolution of any discrepancies between the purchase order and the quotation with the customer as required.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by internally communicating and resolving customer issues as required.
  • Normal Working Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferable engineering concentrations include Chemistry/Biology, Computer/Technology, and Mechanical.
  • Preferred: 4+ years' experience directly supporting customers within a sales organization/process.
  • Candidate will be required to successfully complete formalized company sponsored product, device, and services training.
  • Please note that work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • This is a direct placement position; third party contracts are not available.
  • This is not a remote opportunity, if not local to Allendale, NJ, relocation to NYC tristate area will be required
