ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment (EAE) Division is made up of five brands strongly recognized by Contract Manufacturers and OEMs in the Electronics and Industrial Markets. The Division designs, develops, manufactures, and markets capital equipment primarily used in the assembly process of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and other industrial applications.

The successful candidate will have high technical and manufacturing understanding and be prepared to learn the specifics l of the SMT manufacturing process, the SMT printer operation, printer process, troubleshooting and what is required to produce an optimized process.

Compensation Information:
The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience. The range for this position is :$89,000 - $127,000 (annually). Position Summary:
The Sales Engineer has strong customer interaction and sales presentation skills as well as equipment knowledge. The successful candidate will have high technical and manufacturing understanding and be prepared to learn the specifics l of the SMT manufacturing process, the SMT printer operation, printer process, troubleshooting and what is required to produce an optimized process.
The position is responsible for the following:
- Provide technical sales support to prospects, customers and sales personnel
- Assist sales representatives on sales calls by providing higher level technical details on product features, functions and benefits
- Ability to set up, program, and establish an optimized print process
- Responsible for demonstrations and supporting on-site customer evaluations
- Assist in the order quotation process by reviewing technical specifications for feasibility and machine configuration
- Evaluate new customer processes for feasibility
- Work with sales, engineering and customers to quote custom requirements
- Provide technical training to sales personnel
- Assist in sales tool development (Apps notes, presentations, etc.)
- Consult on new hardware and software development
- Conduct testing of new hardware and software features
- Provide post-sales support
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline
- Electronics Manufacturing (SMT) Industry Experience: 2-4 years' experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on machine processing experience including programming, set-up, operation and process optimization, preferred buy not required
- Ideally, 1 - 2 years of experience in a Sales Support, or customer facing role
- Strong understanding of statistics for process control
Skills Required:
- Existing knowledge of the solder paste printing process preferred
- functional knowledge of Screen Printers and their application preferred
- Capable of applying statistical tools for optimizing processes
- Solid understanding of the overall SMT manufacturing process
- Customer relationship skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Salesforce familiarity
Travel Requirements:
- 40-50% travel
- Customer visits:
- Pre-sales support - assist in technical sales support
- Evaluation support - training and process support
- Post-sales support - visit customers to focus on process and training
- Tradeshows
