We are hiring a Sales Estimator/Project Manager in Abbotsford, BC. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of sales and project execution-from bidding and defining scope with clients to supporting the field team and ensuring successful close-out.

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $85,000-125,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. We are hiring a Sales Estimator/Project Manager in Abbotsford, BC. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of sales and project execution-from bidding and defining scope with clients to supporting the field team and ensuring successful close-out.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with our customers to generate repeat business and word of mouth advertising
- Generate new leads on upcoming projects with both existing and new customers
- Working with the business development team to develop our marketing strategy for Apex and Pro-Tech
- Participate in engineering design review (design improvements and constructability feedback)
- Estimate projects and build effective plans so our field teams can execute the work efficiently
- Proactively lead, coach, and motivate project team members and be accountable for team performance and results
- Review plans & specifications to help determine the scope of work and define project requirements as part of a team effort
- Work with project stakeholders to develop project estimates and proposals (scope, schedule, cost, team, and execution plan)
- Effectively manage projects from pre-bid walkthroughs to commissioning and project close-out, managing scope and ensuring that any changes to scope are documented and approved
- You will be the primary point of contact for our customers
- Ensure regular communication and proactive client/customer relationship management
- Participate in our strategy development and execution of the company strategy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of work experience in sales/business development, engineering, construction, heavy-haul transportation, or other related technical field with increasing levels of responsibility and development is preferred
- 3 years' experience as an Estimator or Project Manager in the Industrial Construction or Heavy-Haul transportation sectors is as asset
- Estimating and business development experience, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset is an asset
- Proficient with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
