Position Summary

Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Sales, Heavy Haul and Specialized Transportation to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Sales, Heavy Haul and Specialized Transportation will be responsible for developing and expanding Total Oilfield Rental's (TOR) business.

You should possess leadership skills and maintain the company's high standard of customer service. Ultimately, as a vital member of the Heavy Haul and Specialized Transportation team, you should be able to display extensive knowledge of the related equipment, transportation management systems and have an extensive industry-based network.

This position is fulltime and is based out of our Leduc location.

Time Commitment

5 days on, 2 days off. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management

Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
  • New Business Development & Sales: Secure new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing customers. Develop and implement sales plans.
  • Operations: Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of contracts, address operational issues, and maintain high service levels for customers.
  • Proposal Preparation & Contract Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts to potential clients and negotiate terms and pricing with customers to secure contracts.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Track metrics, analyze data, and prepare reports on sales performance, revenue forecasts, and market trends for management review.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies, including maintaining accurate records of sales activities, contracts, etc.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strong commitment to identify areas for process improvement within the Heavy haul and specialized transportation team

Required Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3-4 years experience as a Sales or Account Manager or in a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics.
  • Experience working with transportation-related government regulations.
  • Experience working with transport management systems and software, such as excel
  • Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Good conflict resolution skills

Working Conditions
  • Irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Combination of office work and working outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions with heavy equipment.
  • Travel for company business, at times without advance notice.
  • Respond to unexpected or emergency situations.
  • May be relocated if necessary.
