Sales Incentive Planning Manager
The Sales Incentive Plan Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing sales incentive programs that motivate and reward sales teams for achieving targets. This role involves analyzing sales performance data, collaborating with leadership to align incentive plans with business goals, and ensuring that compensation structures are competitive and effective. The manager will also monitor plan effectiveness, resolve issues related to payouts, and continuously optimize the programs to drive sales performance and employee engagement. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, and sales operations, to ensure that incentive structures are competitive, motivating, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. The role reports to the Director of Global Compensation. The role is hybrid and requires 2-3 days in-office located in Nashville, TN.

Base salary range: $88,733 - $ 110,500

Responsibilities
- Designing and Managing Incentive Plans: Develop and implement sales compensation structures and incentive plans that motivate sales teams, align with company targets, and reward top performers.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sales data, performance trends, and compensation results to ensure incentive plans are driving desired behaviors and outcomes. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to track the success of the plans.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Work with senior leadership to align incentive programs with broader business strategies, ensuring that the compensation plans support sales objectives and business growth.
- Plan Optimization and Adjustments: Continuously monitor the effectiveness of incentive programs and make adjustments based on feedback from sales teams, performance data, and changes in market conditions or business goals.
- Communication and Education: Clearly communicate incentive plan structures and performance expectations to the sales team. Provide training and support to ensure that sales professionals understand how to maximize their earnings potential.
- Problem Resolution: Address any issues or discrepancies related to sales incentive payouts, working closely with finance and HR to resolve issues quickly and fairly.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure that incentive plans adhere to internal policies, legal requirements globally, and industry best practices. Maintain proper documentation and auditing processes for transparency.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in compensation design, data analysis, and sales operations.
- Ability to analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of incentive plans, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in creating and managing compensation models, including understanding different pay structures and payout mechanics.
- Understanding of financial concepts and their impact on sales compensation.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex compensation plans and incentive programs to sales teams and other stakeholders.
- Ability to present data, analysis, and recommendations to upper management.
- Ability to build relationships with sales teams and other departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, ensuring timely execution of incentive programs.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues related to incentive programs.
- Understanding of sales processes, sales cycles, and sales operations.
- Understanding of business goals and how incentive programs can drive sales performance.
- Strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure that incentive plans are aligned with both employee needs and business goals.
Education and Experience
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in any of the following: Incentive Planning, Sales Design, Compensation Planning, or Financial Analysis.
- Experience in financial modeling, high-level Excel skills, ability to compose and present information to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Economics, or Accounting.
- Experience managing incentive/commission structures in a sales-driven environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
