Primary Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to manage the Thermal Solutions customer relationship with one or more key accounts to achieve optimum cooperation and good will between the companies. Substantial relationship building and team building abilities are required. Responsible for collaborating with all disciplines of the organization to ensure that Ferrotec's interests are well represented and that the customers' needs are understood, planned for, and responded to in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate will have strong ability to determine business drivers, create a strategy for driving growth, and work with internal and external resources to bring that strategy to life. Time traveling is estimated to be no more than 50%. Reports to the Director of Sales.
DESCRIPTION:
Sales - Primary responsibility is to generate revenue and increase market share by identifying and selling to prospective accounts though research and networking. Activities include program management, account development and establishing maintaining key relationships for new and existing accounts. Meet assigned revenue and profitability targets.
Account Management - Maintains relationships for new and existing accounts in order to protect and grow existing business opportunities. This includes developing key account plans to align resources to support company growth objectives with major customers/opportunities.
Product - Identifies the need for new products. Works with Marketing, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D to assist in new product development initiatives targeted to the needs of the key account(s).
Manufacturing - generates both short-term and long-term rolling forecasts for revenue and product / volume mix.
Marketing Communications - Gives input to the marketing group to support the goal of establishing and implementing promotional, advertising, and communication strategies.
Competition - Benchmarks our products with the competition from a technical and business perspective. Monitors competitive forces that could compromise our position.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree or equivalent. 6+ years of professional experience including 5+ years of account management experience in Bio-Medical or Analytical industry
Direct working knowledge of the industry-specific specifications and quality requirements from the industry being served.
Must have 3+ years of maintaining and beating annual quota targets
Focused and detail-oriented with a "hands on" approach to problem solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
Must be well organized, responsive and have excellent time management skills.
Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude a plus.
Strong presenter and closer with the ability to demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy
