POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, the Sales Manager is responsible for the sales operations of the Ontario & Quebec region. You are responsible for leading the sales team and accountable for achieving the sales and profitability goals.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.

2. Leads the sales team, including managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development.

3. Develop and maintain excellent customer relations through regular contact and prompt reliable service, ensuring customers' need are met.

4. Maintain market intelligence and information on market conditions and competitive products and pricing and share information within the company.

5. Create opportunities for applications of our products through promotion to designers, architects, contractors, owners, suppliers and trade shows.

6. Manage customer expectations and handle issues and complaints professionally

7. Achieve and exceed annual sales goals and objectives

8. Schedule orders in co-ordination with the production team

9. Supports other business activities as required

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

1. Strong leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills

2. Strong management experience preferably managing sales staff

3. Effective at motivating employees

4. Solid knowledge of construction material, products and applications

5. Familiar with building code legislation

6. Experience with design and estimating

7. Experience with budgeting and forecasting

8. Understanding of shipping and manufacturing logistics

9. Motivation and flexibility to succeed in a competitive environment.

10. Excellent communication, problem solving and critical thinking

11. Detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills

12. Proficiency with Microsoft Office

13. Built up roofing experience an asset

14. Previous experience with AutoCAD would be an asset

15. Excellent driving record as company vehicle is provided

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Post secondary education in technical and/or business administration (B.Sc./B.Comm or equivalent).
CET or P. Eng an asset
Minimum of 5 years experience of proven sales management

COMPENSATION:
  • Salary plus Commission. company vehicle
