Description:

International logistics company in the San Francisco area is seeking a Sales Manager who will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the international logistics sector. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales management, a deep understanding of international freight forwarding, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leadership & Management:
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals.
    • Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
    • Recruit, train, and develop sales talent.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
  • Business Development & Client Acquisition:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
    • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing clients.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
    • Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, trade agreements, and market dynamics.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with internal departments (operations, customer service, finance) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
    • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
    • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
    • Maintain accurate records within the companies CRM.
  • International Logistics Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and supply chain management.
    • Provide expert advice and solutions to clients on international logistics needs.
    • Stay informed about global trade regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and supply chain management.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Travel will be required.
