In the role of Sales Manager - SEC North America/Canada, you manage and develop business for SEC north America and Canada. This position contributes to our vision by:

Developing and maturing business relationships with customers and prospective customers;
- Managing existing and prospective accounts;
- Cultivating bid opportunities and RFPs;
- Developing sales targets/goals and sales plans/strategies;
- Sharing market information and customer feedback with the Team and Management.
- Managing all pre-contract award activities including, but not limited to, customer assessments, proposal strategy, proposal development and submittal, business case development and approval, and contract negotiations. Post contract award activities include customer support and managing commercial activities and follow-on contracts;
- Conducting and/or participating on market research of competitors and rival products;
- Developing information about competition and strategies to keep the company's market share and competitive advantage;

Coordinating with engineering, programs, operations/manufacturing, purchasing, for product development completion and timely delivery

Daily coordination with inside sales team to closely follow-up and monitor customers accounts, sales and order books.
Travel specifictity

Domestic and international air travel, with regular visits to SEC sites in North America/Canada/Mexico.

Essential Duties
Participates in developing a marketing strategy to optimize North American/Canadian sales opportunities;
Actively canvasses the aerospace and defense industries for potential business opportunities that are aligned with our strategy;
Participates in customer exchanges related to manufacturing, engineering and service opportunities and manages the development of the relationship from non-disclosure agreements through receipt of contract award;
Manages the proposal and business case development, obtains appropriate approvals and submits proposals to the customer;
Negotiates the contract with the customer including terms and conditions and price;
Provides on-going customer support from contract award and product transition through stabilization of the program;
Provides customer and market data & analysis to facilitate budget formulation;
Coordinates with inside sales, operations, manufacturing, finance, purchasing and other departments to support current business and future program awards;
Maintains knowledge on product costs, pricing and financial impact of new business development;
Represents the company at industry events and trade shows;
Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;
Observes and follows company policies and procedures;
Regular, predictable attendance is required;
Other duties may be assigned.
Candidate skills & requirements

Safran Electrical & Power looks for service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills, the right attitude and adaptability to an innovative and evolving environment.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical) preferred, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field of study
Minimum 10 years of experience in similar positions within the aeronautical, space and defence industries, with knowledge of aftermarket environment (MRO, Airlines, Naval/Airland forces...). Excellent knowledge and understanding of aerospace and defense products and technologies. Comfortable with developing, negotiating and proving out a Commercial and Aftermarket business case in a concise manner, challenging costings to secure long term profitability. Experienced in the use of databases, contract negotiation and ITAR requirements.
Experience and knowledge in the sales of components and harness assemblies utilized in the commercial and / or military aircraft and / or defense industry applications on harsh environment applications - is definitely a plus.
