Description:

The Sales Manager for our Allied Gallery facility plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by leading the inside and outside sales teams. The primary focus will be on expanding our client base, with a specific emphasis on engaging smaller volume custom home builders (less than 50 homes per year). The sales manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, coaching and mentoring the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets.

  • Lead and manage the inside and outside sales teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for expanding our client base, with a focus on smaller volume custom home builders.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and drive business growth.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, provide solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and individual performance.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the Vice President of the Northern Region.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the stone manufacturing sector, particularly within the target market of smaller volume custom home builders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to guide sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Work Environment

The work environment in the stone manufacturing industry may involve exposure to dust, noise, and various weather conditions. The employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to operate in a standard office environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client visits and sales meetings.

Travel Required

Moderate Travel May Be Required to Visit Job Sites and potential clients.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 3 to 5 years in a leadership role in a sales position within the stone manufacturing industry or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of the stone manufacturing process, product specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and expand client base by performing cold calls and utilizing other marketing strategies.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in stone manufacturing or a related industry with a focus on leadership in the sales space.

Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Clean motor vehicle record.
