Job Summary

This position is responsible for achieving sales goals and driving profitable growth by positioning Plasti-Fab as the supplier of. Responsible for the sales operations of the Ontario & Quebec region. You are responsible for leading the sales team and accountable for achieving the sales and profitability goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
  • Leads the sales team, including managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations through regular contact and prompt reliable service, ensuring customers' need are met.
  • Maintain market intelligence and information on market conditions and competitive products and pricing and share information within the company.
  • Create opportunities for applications of our products through promotion to designers, architects, contractors, owners, suppliers and trade shows.
  • Manage customer expectations and handle issues and complaints professionally.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales goals and objectives
  • Schedule orders in co-ordination with the production team
  • Supports other business activities as required
  • Represents the company in professional & industry organizations.


Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
  • Strong leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Strong management experience preferably managing sales staff
  • Effective at motivating employees
  • Solid knowledge of construction material, products and applications
  • Familiar with building code legislation
  • Experience with design and estimating
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Understanding of shipping and manufacturing logistics
  • Motivation and flexibility to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and critical thinking
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Built up roofing experience an asset
  • Previous experience with AutoCAD would be an asset

Education and Experience:
  • Post secondary education in technical and/or business administration (B.Sc./B.Comm or equivalent).
  • CET or P. Eng an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years experience of proven sales management

Equipment Used:
  • Standard office equipment.

Working Conditions:
  • Office environment
  • Typically Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Exceptions would be to meet requirements as determined by the VP, Sales

Travel Requirement:
  • Travel for this position is required
