SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We're looking for a dynamic and results-oriented sales leader to take the helm of our Customer Group sales team, covering key sectors such as Energy, Yard/EPC/Applicators, Shipping, Infrastructure, and Dealers & Distributors. In this high-impact role, you'll leverage Jotun's sales tools and strategies to set clear objectives, drive performance, and ensure strong financial outcomes. From growing market share and boosting profitability to building lasting customer relationships, your leadership will be essential in steering the team toward success and securing a thriving future for our business in the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead the Sales team and direct reports by ensuring that all team members are well-trained and motivated in order to conribute and achieve budgeted sales targets.
  • Develop and execute long- and short term plans by applying the strategies and guidelines to the local company strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to ensure revenue growth and profit maximization of the Customer Group operations.
  • Develop and implement proper sales objectives and programs by setting priorities, selection criteria, and performance measures to serve, approach and engage with customer groups.
  • Close monitoring and following up on the implementation of agreed action plans to ensure that the overall performance coatings objectives will be met.
  • Implement standard procedures, processing, and reporting to ensure the implantation of best practices are achieved through the sales teams.
  • Organise, develop, motivate, and lead sales teams by setting clear targets and framework, coaching, supporting, and following-up team members in line with The Penguin Spirit to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the whole team.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and feedback sessions with employees as required (KIT and yPOD).

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a proven sales track record in the specified customer group
  • Customer Group Market knowledge is essential
  • Anticipated travel requirements of up to 120 days per year within the market focus area
  • People Management of at least 3 years


Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in sales and/or any relevant field
  • Extensive network of industry contacts
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish
