Location: North Houston

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000
Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and relationship growth across
strategic accounts in the lithium-ion battery and EV space. The Sales Manager will accelerate the market impact in the electrified vehicle and energy storage sectors.
This role combines deep industry insight, strong commercial instincts, and a hunter mentality. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with electrolyte solutions or related chemical products and a proven ability to engage decision-makers at top-tier accounts (large enterprise organizations).
Duties:
- Focus on building and expanding the company's presence in the lithium-ion battery and EV market, with a focus on electrolyte products.
- Manage and grow key accounts, including OEMs and Tier 1 battery customers
- Lead end-to-end sales efforts-from outreach and qualification to technical
discussions, pricing, and deal closure
- Develop and execute market-specific sales strategies informed by technical
knowledge and market research
- Cultivate long-term customer relationships by consistently delivering value and
acting as a trusted advisor
- Conduct regular onsite visits, presentations, and negotiations with key clients (25-
50% travel required)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, product management, and
leadership to align sales efforts with business priorities
- Deliver clear, data-driven sales forecasts and performance analysis
- Represent at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for client needs and ensuring high service standards
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience in electrolytes or closely related chemical products
- 3+ years of experience managing key accounts in the battery, EV, or energy materials space
- Existing relationships or experience with large enterprise customers
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex sales cycles and exceed revenue targets
- Strong technical understanding of the electrolyte market and emerging industry trends
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel frequently (25-50%+), including domestic and international travel
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to different cultural and business environments
- Strong collaborator who thrives in cross-functional, global teams
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Marketing,
Business Administration, or a related field
