We have an opening in our Monmouth Junction, NJ Facility for a Sales Training Manager.
The Sales Training Manager is responsible for supporting the education, and enhancing the selling skills, of Tris Pharma's Sales team by developing and delivering sales training that aligns with Tris' organization's goals. The incumbent is primarily responsible for the sales training of new field sales representatives, supporting development of new sales training content and serving as an internal resource and training Subject Matter Expert (SME) for field sales force, Area Field Trainers (AFTs) and cross functional partners (i.e., Marketing, Sales Operations, Market Access, etc.) to support the implementation of strategic vision/plans for Sales Training and Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for enhancing the selling skills of new and existing representatives through selling skills training and the development of new training content, cross-functional collaboration, facilitating the development, assessment, implementation and evaluation of product and brand related sales training tools, workshops, one-on-one sessions and group presentations for new and existing company products in order to establish a best-in-class Sales Training Capability for the Commercial Sales Team
Enhances sales team selling skills including, but not limited to: use of the Tris Sales Model, business acumen, territory management, pre-call planning, proficient utilization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, sales analytic tools, understanding of managed care, and other territory specific resources, etc.
Continuously assess sales training needs among field-based personnel
Collaborates with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to coach and mentor sales representatives to increased performance
Collaborates with other training personnel and additional cross-functional personnel to assist in the development of new training curriculum
Facilitates new hire and advanced selling skills workshops at the home office and during Plan of Action (POA)/Area/National meetings
Develops sales training material to roll-out implementation of new selling pieces
Works with external training vendors
Analyzes and improves training approach and materials on an ongoing basis to ensure high quality presentations and impact by sales representatives
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree and minimum 2 years sales, training, analytics and/or project management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry
Proven track record of successfully training, coaching and/or mentoring junior team members in a sales or commercial pharma function
Ability to understand and learn highly complex disease areas and therapies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Powerpoint
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement key learning objectives
Strong business analytics exposure to understand and analyze business and market drivers and ability to turn, develop, execute and adjust sales strategies
Excellent presentation skills and proven track record of delivering successful pharmaceutical sales trainings and presentations
Ability to influence without direct authority
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) (i.e., Axonify, MasterControl, etc.) and sales data/call reporting software
PREFERRED
We are a HYBRID work environment requiring local candidates to be able to work majority of week in our Monmouth Junction, NJ office. Non-local candidates must be able to come into office multiple times a month. This position also requires up to 25% travel to support our field sales team.
