Position Summary:
- As part of a key expansion initiative, the Business Analyst will be accountable for understanding and delivering business capabilities, documenting requirements, writing user stories, managing change and supporting business operations for the e.l.f. Beauty digital portfolio.
- The e.l.f. Beauty portfolio consists of 3 brands, 5 websites and 2 native app.
- You will collaborate with the Technical and E-Commerce teams, key internal stakeholders and 3rd party services to deliver outstanding customer experiences and technical operations across our global platform.
- This is a critical role that will work cross functionally to scale with the business.
- The Business Analyst must be comfortable working in a rapid environment with a "first to market" mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Translate customer and business needs into detailed functional requirements, develop use cases and elaborate user stories, define acceptance and test criteria.
- Collaborate with client technical team to define and implement capabilities and clarify questions and remove roadblocks as they come up.
- Adopt the agile process; co-lead meetings on sprint planning, sprint retrospective, and backlog grooming.
- Be the champion of Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager tools; train new business users and provide coaching on optimizing daily workflows.
- Work closely with Digital Marketing and Merchandising, Product Mgt, Creative, UX and Developers and provide recommendations on using out of the box features vs. developing customizations.
- Support change management planning & execution.
- Attend prospective demos and provide technical insights for the website.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or equivalent degree or work experience.
- 5+ years of technology experience including and 3+ years of eCommerce management, operations experience.
- Deep functional understanding of eCommerce.
- Proficient in Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager and Jira.
- Excellent communication skills and strength in building partnerships; working collaboratively in a matrixed environment; Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Creative thinker, leveraging prior experiences in solving problems in an innovative way.
- Successful track record in launching features/products that add business value and experience integrating 3rd party products / services into the ecommerce experience (Loyalty, Digital Marketing, Analytics, Optimization etc).
- Website developer experience and/or knowledge of front end and back end development a plus.
